My name is Nicole Figueroa, I have been a resident of Waxahachie since 2015. I currently work for a company called Veterans Home Care and we offer the VetAssist program, in which I serve as a Regional Manager assisting Veterans and spouses with applying for the Aid and Attendance pension. Although I am a Bronx native born and raised , I will say the small town feeling I get here in Waxahachie and the gracious people I come across on a daily bases has made me not want to look back.
Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I am a mother of 4 extraordinary children. We moved here to Waxahachie 8 years ago to be with family and I fell in love with the town.
Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
My Current career is assisting veterans and spouses with staying in their homes and live with dignity and independence. I am grateful for the ability to make an impact in peoples lives.
Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
My favorite restaurants in our community are Campuzano Mexican Restaurant and Olive Garden

I have lived and worked in our community for 8 years
Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
I worked with the old Mayor of Waxahachie by the name of Joe Jenkins. He would tell me very intriguing stories about the the city of Waxahachie and the changes that he was able to make.

Love people as GOD loves you
Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?
All of the boutiques and consignment stores in the town of Waxahachie. There us nothing like a good old town feeling.
Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
I would have lunch with TD Jakes at Farmers Luck because he is full of wisdom and knowledge about the word and puts the books in the bible into a great prospective
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
It has a historic and small town feel!
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
I see myself 15lbs lighter and married to a beautiful man of GOD and closer to retirement.

I am very creative with Crafting
