Stetron Thompson and Kelleyton Wilson, Sr. are the current owners of The UPS Store located at 791 Highway 77 N., Suite 501-C in Waxahachie. Stetron and Kelleyton are uncle and nephew respectively and both share a vision of serving others by leveraging the tools and resources God has blessed them with. Additionally, they are committed to impacting multiple facets of every community in which they establish a location, including but not limited to churches, school districts, first responders, and health care workers. Their focus has been to serve Him, by serving others is every aspect of life.
Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
We come from a large family with roots in Reklaw, Texas. We are both graduates of South Oak Cliff High School. Stetron -1987 Kelleyton -1997
Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
We have owned multiple business over the years after having successful corporate careers. We enjoy getting to know a create relationships with every customer that patronizes our store!
Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
Cotton Patch, Crescent City, Big Al’s, and Country Cafe
Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
We acquired the store and took over operations in August of 2021. Approximately 1 1/2 years
Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
There are far too many to list. We meet people from all walks of life at The UPS Store.
Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
Yellowstone
Q: What advice would you give to people?
Serving others will always take you further in life than serving yourself. Be obedient to the call God has placed on your life.
Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?
The USP Store
Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
Barka Obama’s story is intriguing. As men of color, it would be interesting to learn about the obstacles he had to overcome to see the similarities within our respective journeys. We would meet at Cotton Patch.
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
Waxahachie exemplifies true southern hospitality. We have met some of the most kind and humble people since acquiring our store location.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
In 5-10 years we will be even more focused on philanthropic endeavors. This year alone we have been able to support more than 10 charities and non-profit organizations! We are looking to grow that number each year!
Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
We love to create opportunities for other people especially the next generation.
